I worked in edtech after being in the classroom for 10 years. I used to be head of content for a startup that aggregated and organized educational videos and got sold to ACT. Interestingly to you perhaps, the best work I did was work on interoperability protocols to make going between programs seamless. (1EdTech.org previously imsglobal.org). The kids data should move seamlessly between classroom apps and grading programs (SIS) and LMS’s as desired! Also more of a triathlete/swimmer/cyclist when I was your age in the classroom but cool to see your teaching and running journey too. More apps means more engagement but you’re right it needs to be easier and my rule of thumb was one new app a quarter - then try new stuff in summer school!
